What is an inclusive city tour?

People with and without disabilities work together.

We walk together with visitors through the city center of Weimar.

We stop at certain points.

Then we talk about the topic of forced labor.

We answer questions from visitors.

The city tour takes about 2 hours.

What do we talk about?

We talk about the period from 1933-1945.

That was the Nazi era.

We get to know the young girl Nina.

Nina came to Weimar from the Ukraine.

Not voluntarily.

She had to work in a family.

Not voluntarily.

Many people in Germany had to work like Nina.

They came from all over Europe.

Not voluntarily.

That's called forced labor.

There was forced labor everywhere in Weimar.

Who organized this?

The team from Barrierefrei erinnern.

The Barrierefrei erinnern team works together with the Museum of Forced Labor under National Socialism.

We want people with disabilities to learn a lot about the Nazi era.

Simple language and easy-to-understand language help with this.
